SSD Data Recovery
SSDs fail without warning. Recovery is our warning shot.
One day it works, the next it is invisible to the BIOS. We recover failed, corrupted and firmware-locked SSDs from every brand — including NVMe drives and soldered SSDs other labs turn away.
The problem
No clicking. No warning. Just gone.
Unlike hard drives, SSDs rarely announce failure — they simply vanish.
- Controller and firmware failure — the drive stops identifying itself, or reports as 0 GB / a generic name (SATAFIRM S11 and similar)
- NAND wear and read disturb — files corrupt silently, then volumes stop mounting
- Power-loss corruption — mapping tables damaged mid-write
- Physical / liquid damage — particularly soldered SSDs in thin laptops
Important: stop writing to the drive and do not update or "flash" its firmware. On SSDs, TRIM means deleted space can be erased for good — time matters more than with any hard drive.
Capability
From SATA to soldered.
SATA & NVMe SSDs
Every form factor — 2.5", M.2, mSATA, PCIe add-in — across all consumer and enterprise ranges.
Soldered SSDs
Surface Pro, Dell XPS, modern MacBooks and other devices where the storage cannot be removed — chip-level work most labs refuse.

Process
Straightforward, honest, fixed-price.
- 01
Diagnosis
Send the drive (or the whole device for soldered storage). We diagnose the actual failure — controller, firmware, NAND or logical — and report back with a clear verdict.
- 02
Fixed quote
You approve a fixed price based on the real fault before any recovery work begins. You know the exact cost up front — no surprises.
- 03
Laboratory recovery
Firmware repair, chip-off reads or logical reconstruction as the case requires — always onto verified images.
- 04
Verified return
Your files verified openable and returned on encrypted media, typically within days of approval.
Transparent pricing
SSD recovery pricing.
Published starting prices — your fixed quote is confirmed after diagnosis. Prices exclude VAT.
All prices below are net (before VAT). We add VAT at 20% on top — shown beneath each price as “inc VAT”, which is the total you actually pay. For example, a £425 net recovery is £510 including VAT. VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim it.
SSD Recovery
| Capacity | Recovery from |
|---|---|
| 0 – 128 GB | £399£479 inc VAT |
| 250 GB | £499£599 inc VAT |
| 500 GB | £599£719 inc VAT |
| 1 TB | £699+£839+ inc VAT |

Questions
The honest answers.
My SSD is not detected at all. Is there any hope?
Often, yes. "Not detected" usually means controller or firmware failure rather than dead NAND — and both are recoverable failure classes in the lab. Our diagnosis tells you definitively where you stand before you commit to anything.
I deleted files from an SSD. Can they come back?
Honestly: often not, because TRIM erases deleted space in the background. Power the drive off now — the sooner it stops running, the better the odds. We will give you a truthful assessment rather than take your money on false hope.
The laptop's SSD is soldered to the board. Who can even do that?
We can — it is a specialism of this laboratory. Depending on the platform we work at chip level or through the device's own controller. Send the whole laptop or board.
How much does SSD recovery cost?
It depends on the failure class, which is exactly why evaluation comes first and the quote is fixed. Logical cases cost less than firmware work; chip-level is quoted individually. You always know the price before we start.
