Site Autopsy
Crawl your site. Hand the data straight to an AI.
Site Autopsy is a Windows & macOS desktop crawler that scans up to 10,000 pages, scores your site's health out of 100, and produces a structured output folder built to be read by Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini — not just a dashboard.
Background
The tool we couldn't find.
Most SEO crawlers either cost money or cap out at a few hundred pages.
Every serious SEO practitioner hits the same wall: you need to crawl a site and pull out everything that matters — titles, descriptions, canonical tags, broken links, page content, security headers — then actually do something useful with it. The paid tools do this well. The unpaid ones stop at 500 pages.
We needed something different: the complete output of a crawl, structured so it could be handed directly to an AI for analysis. Not a screenshot of a dashboard, not a PDF. Actual data that Claude or ChatGPT could read, reason about, and turn into a prioritised action plan. Nothing on the market did this cleanly, so we built Site Autopsy.
It crawls up to 10,000 pages, produces an AI-ready output folder, and is available at no charge for personal or commercial use.
Use cases
Built for real SEO and rebuild work.
Why isn't it ranking?
Run a crawl, upload the output to an AI, and ask for a prioritised list of what's holding the site back. The 0–100 health score gives an instant benchmark.
An alternative to capped crawlers
No 500-URL ceiling, no account, no per-page export restrictions. Output goes straight to CSV files you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
Site migration or rebuild
url_structure.csv lists every page with title, description, H1, status code, crawl depth and response time. link_health.csv and canonical_audit.csv surface broken links and canonical issues immediately.
AI-assisted content review
llm_bundle.md collects every page's text into a single Markdown document, ready to hand to an AI for content-gap and thin-page analysis.
What you get
Four folders, every crawl.
Each crawl creates a dated subfolder, so repeat scans never overwrite each other and progress can be tracked over time.
- 01
1_UPLOAD_TO_AI
The one you'll use most. Contains the full structured audit (llm_site_audit.json), every crawled page (pages.jsonl), six analysis templates, and a START_HERE.md file that briefs the AI so you don't have to.
- 02
2_EXCEL_REPORTS
Six CSV files, including metadata_rewrite_candidates.csv — every page with a missing or duplicate title/description, with blank columns to draft replacements directly.
- 03
3_WEBSITE_TEXT_MARKDOWN
llm_bundle.md — the complete text of the entire site in one Markdown file, ready for content analysis.
- 04
4_RAW_DATA
The raw technical output, for anyone who wants to process it further or build on top of it.
Scoring
A 0–100 site health score.
llm_site_audit.json deducts points across three tiers.
- Critical — missing titles, missing H1s, HTTP errors: the largest deductions
- Major — duplicate titles, missing meta descriptions, no HTTPS: medium deductions
- Minor — slow pages, missing alt text, redirect chains: smaller deductions
Security header gaps — missing Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, HSTS — are scored separately.
A score above 80 is healthy. Between 60 and 79, there's meaningful work to do. Below 60, there are significant problems worth investigating properly — the kind of technical and structural review we carry out as part of our wider digital forensics and data services work.

Questions
Site Autopsy — FAQ
Is Site Autopsy really free to use?
Yes. It is available at no charge for both personal and commercial use, with no account required and no artificial page limits.
How many pages can it crawl?
Up to 10,000 pages per crawl. Each crawl is saved to its own dated subfolder so repeat scans never overwrite previous results.
Which platforms does it run on?
Site Autopsy is a desktop application available for Windows and macOS — use the downloads above for the current build of each.
What do I do with the output?
Upload the 1_UPLOAD_TO_AI folder to an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and ask it to analyse the audit, or open the CSV reports directly in Excel or Google Sheets.
Does this relate to Data Forensics' recovery services?
Site Autopsy is a standalone SEO tool, separate from our data recovery and digital forensics lab work. We built it because we needed it ourselves and decided to share it.
Windows and macOS builds, no account required. If you need a deeper technical or forensic review of a website or its data, our team can help with that too.
