What we see
Failures specific to alternative NAS platforms.
- RAID rebuild failures — RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, JBOD, BeyondRAID and hybrid arrays.
- ZFS pool corruption from pool imbalance or failed snapshots.

We also see systems no longer supported by the manufacturer, non-standard file systems, arrays improperly rebuilt by well-meaning IT staff, and volumes suffering silent corruption over time. All of these are within scope — not a reason to write the data off.

Exact, bit-level clones are made of each drive, including failed or degraded media. No recovery is ever attempted on your original disks.

Volume and RAID structure rebuilt using platform-specific knowledge — ZFS, Btrfs, EXT4, XFS, UFS, or proprietary formats — not automated guesswork.

Files extracted with folder hierarchy, metadata and naming intact. You receive a preview before final delivery.

My NAS brand is not one of the big two — can you still help?
Yes. TerraMaster, Ugreen, Netgear ReadyNAS, Buffalo, WD My Cloud, Drobo, ioSafe, TrueNAS, Unraid, OpenMediaVault and custom Linux/ZFS builds are all within our normal caseload, handled under the same laboratory process as Synology or QNAP.
My TrueNAS pool shows as unavailable — is the data gone?
Usually not. ZFS pool corruption from a failed drive, snapshot issue or power event is recoverable in most cases, provided you stop trying scrub or repair commands and send the drives to the lab as they are.
Do you offer free diagnostics?
No. Alternative and custom NAS platforms need genuine platform expertise to assess properly, so evaluation is a chargeable, in-depth process — not a quick automated scan. You always get a fixed quote before recovery work starts.
Can you recover a Docker or VM volume on my Unraid/Proxmox NAS?
Yes — Docker layer corruption and NAS-hosted VM or iSCSI target damage are both recoverable. We rebuild the underlying volume structure first, then extract the container and VM data.
