iPhone Data Recovery

Your iPhone is dead. Your data doesn't have to be.

Board-level, encrypted iPhone recovery for devices that won't power on, won't pass the Apple logo, or have taken liquid or impact damage. Handled entirely in-house in Belfast — data recovery only, not a repair shop.

I.

The problem

A broken iPhone can feel like total loss. It usually isn't.

Client messages, case files, irreplaceable photos — when the phone stops working, that's what's actually at risk, not the device itself.

We offer specialist iPhone data recovery focused solely on retrieving your data — not repairing the handset. We work entirely in-house from our Belfast laboratory, handling complex, high-stakes cases across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

We are not a phone repair shop. Cracked screen or a dead battery? A local technician is your best first step. But if the phone doesn't power on, is stuck on the Apple logo, or the logic board itself is damaged — and the data matters — that is when we take over.

This work sits alongside our wider Apple device recovery service, which covers Mac and iPad storage recovered under the same lab process.

II.

Capability

Common iPhone failures we recover.

i

Stuck on Apple logo / boot loop

Device powers on but never completes startup, or cycles endlessly.

ii

No power, no charge response

Completely dead — no charging light, no response to any input.

iii

Water or liquid damage

Corrosion and short-circuit damage to the logic board following liquid exposure.

iv

Physical board damage

Dropped, crushed or burnt devices with visible or suspected board failure.

v

Frozen or unresponsive touch

Screen unresponsive but the device shows internal signs of life.

vi

iOS update failure / data lockout

A failed update or migration leaves the device unusable but data intact on the NAND.

vii

Not recognised by a computer

iTunes, Finder or corrupted local backups fail to see the device at all.

viii

Full storage / unresponsive device

Phone reports insufficient space and becomes unresponsive or fails to start.

III.

Why iPhone recovery is different

Your data is encrypted to this exact phone.

Modern iPhones tie all storage encryption to the original NAND chip, Apple's Secure Enclave, and the pairing between logic board and CPU.

That means data cannot simply be lifted off the chip and read on another board — the original system has to be revived long enough to perform a clean, verified extraction. In practice that requires:

  • Board-level diagnostics to identify power rail, NAND and Secure Enclave condition
  • Micro-soldering where components need repair or replacement to restore minimal function
  • Chip-safe extraction technique — nothing is cloned or copied off-site

Apple does not provide data access without a working device, and an iCloud backup is often incomplete or missing entirely — which is exactly why phones that look dead are frequently still recoverable with the right diagnostics.

IV.

Data types

What can typically be recovered.

i

Photos, video & voice memos

Camera roll, videos and voice recordings stored locally on the device.

ii

Messages & WhatsApp

iMessages, SMS and WhatsApp conversations with attachments, where locally stored.

iii

Contacts, notes & calendars

Contacts, notes, calendar entries, call logs and Safari browsing data.

iv

App data & backups

Accessible app data plus local iOS backups — unencrypted, or where the password is known.

V.

Transparent pricing

iPhone board-level recovery pricing.

This is a premium, highly technical service — not a screen replacement or cosmetic repair. Pricing depends on damage type, model, and the diagnostics or micro-soldering required. Fixed quote confirmed after diagnosis; prices exclude VAT.

Prices exclude VAT

All prices below are net (before VAT). We add VAT at 20% on top — shown beneath each price as “inc VAT”, which is the total you actually pay. For example, a £425 net recovery is £510 including VAT. VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim it.

Board-level iPhone recovery

ScopeTypical price
Diagnostics & assessmentFrom £500From £600 inc VAT
Most board-level recoveries£500 – £1,200£600 – £1,440 inc VAT

Final price depends on damage type (liquid, electrical, impact), model, required micro-soldering, and whether Secure Enclave pairing is intact.

If your issue is a cracked screen or charging port and the phone otherwise works, a local repair shop is the right first call — see the insights hub for more on how we price recovery work.

VI.

Process

From dead phone to recovered data.

  1. 01

    Diagnostics & intake

We assess board state, power rails and NAND condition to establish what has actually failed.

  2. 02

    Micro-soldering repair (if needed)

Where necessary, we restore minimal device function purely to enable data extraction — not a cosmetic repair.

  3. 03

    Data dump or live extraction

Data is extracted using chip-safe technique appropriate to the device and failure.

  4. 04

    Verification & return

Recovered data is verified against what you need, then returned via encrypted drive, secure cloud transfer, or local handoff at our Belfast lab.

Questions

What clients ask us before sending a device.

My iPhone won't turn on at all. Is the data gone?

Not necessarily. A dead-looking iPhone is often a power rail or component failure on the logic board rather than data loss — the NAND storing your data can survive even when the phone itself cannot power on. Diagnostics will tell us the real state before anything else happens.

Can you recover data from a water-damaged iPhone?

Often, yes, provided the device has not been powered on repeatedly after the exposure. Corrosion damage is assessed and repaired at board level where needed to restore enough function for a clean extraction.

Will you unlock my iPhone or bypass an iCloud lock?

No. We do not bypass or remove iCloud locks, and we do not unlock stolen or passcode-protected devices. Recovery is only carried out for legitimate owners who can prove ownership and, where required, provide the passcode.

How much will it cost?

Diagnosis first, then a fixed quote agreed with you before any recovery work begins. Most board-level iPhone recoveries fall between £500 and £1,200, depending on damage type and what the device needs.

Can I post my iPhone in from outside Belfast?

Yes. We accept secure, padded post-in shipments from across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, and can advise on safe packaging and courier instructions. Local drop-off is also available at our Belfast lab.

Board damaged and the data matters?

Send us the details and we'll tell you honestly whether it's recoverable — diagnosis first, fixed quote before any work begins.
