Creative Media Recovery

Your creative work is irreplaceable. We recover it.

A wedding cannot be reshot. Dailies cannot be re-filmed. A master session cannot be re-recorded. When the storage behind a creative project fails, we recover it in our own Belfast laboratory — same lab, same chain of custody, no shipping your work to a third party.

I.

Why creative storage is different

For creatives, data loss is not an inconvenience.

For filmmakers, photographers, musicians and studios, the files on a failed drive are not just data — they are the work itself.

  • A wedding photographer cannot reshoot the day.
  • A production studio cannot rebuild corrupted dailies.
  • A music producer cannot re-record a lost master session.

We hear the same descriptions every week: a drive that will not mount on a Mac, an SD card reporting "corrupted", a G-DRIVE clicking, a RED card unreadable, a Samsung SSD showing no files. You do not need the technical explanation — you need the work back, intact and on time.

This page sits alongside our wider data recovery service and focuses specifically on the storage used across film, photography, music and design workflows.

Capability

The storage behind creative work.

If it is used for shooting, editing, producing or archiving, our lab handles it.

III.

Why choose us

Built around deadlines, not just drives.

  • In-house recovery. Every device stays in our secure Belfast lab under one chain of custody — nothing is shipped out to a third-party facility.
  • Fast-turnaround options. Same-day and next-day priority recovery where a shoot, release or deadline cannot move.
  • Plain-language updates. "Your RAW files are safe" and "we are copying your session folders now" — not jargon.
  • Confidential by default. Every project handled under strict confidentiality, with NDAs available on request for production companies.
  • UK, Ireland and beyond. Based in Belfast, working with clients across the UK and Ireland and further afield by trusted courier.

Process

From failed drive to delivered project.

  1. 01

    Tell us what happened

In plain words — "my drive won't open", "my card is broken", "my files disappeared". No jargon needed.

  2. 02

    Drop off or courier

Bring it to our Belfast lab, or ship securely from anywhere in the UK, Ireland or worldwide.

  3. 03

    Diagnosis & fixed quote

We inspect the device, confirm what is recoverable, and agree a fixed quote before any recovery work begins.

  4. 04

    Recovery in the lab

RAW photos, video timelines, Pro Tools and Ableton sessions, or Adobe project files — extracted, repaired and rebuilt in-house.

  5. 05

    Verified return

Files verified as openable and delivered on a new drive or via encrypted transfer.

Questions

Asked by creatives under deadline.

My SD or CFexpress card says "corrupted" — is the footage still there?

Often, yes. Camera media usually corrupts at the file-system or directory level while the underlying image data is untouched. Stop using the card immediately and send it to us rather than reformatting or reshooting onto it.

My LaCie Rugged / G-DRIVE will not mount — is my project gone?

Not necessarily. Drives that will not mount are typically suffering controller, firmware or file-system failure rather than losing the data itself. Power it down and stop trying different cables or ports — each attempt is a small further risk.

Can you recover Pro Tools or Ableton sessions from a failed MacBook SSD?

Yes — including soldered SSDs that cannot be removed from the board. We work at chip level or through the device's own controller depending on the platform, and reconstruct session and project folders, not just individual files.

We have a hard deadline. How fast can you turn this around?

Same-day and next-day priority recovery is available for time-critical cases — tell us the deadline when you contact us and we will confirm honestly whether it is achievable before you commit.

Do you sign NDAs for production companies?

Yes, routinely. Every project — with or without a signed NDA — is handled under confidentiality and a documented chain of custody in our own laboratory.
