UGREEN DAS Data Recovery
Your UGREEN drive won't mount. Your data is still there.
UGREEN DAS enclosures, RAID bays and NVMe SSD cases recovered in-house at our Belfast laboratory — no outsourcing, one chain of custody. Stop trying software fixes and talk to an engineer first.
The problem
Compact enclosures. Complicated recoveries.
UGREEN builds compact, cost-effective DAS devices used widely by creators, small businesses and home users. But when a UGREEN drive fails — through corruption, a RAID fault, or physical damage — that simplicity works against you.
We recover critical data from UGREEN DAS systems — USB-C external enclosures, RAID-configured bays and NVMe SSD cases — entirely in our own Belfast laboratory. No outsourcing, full chain-of-custody documentation where required.
This service sits alongside our wider DAS recovery work and shares the same lab, engineers and process used across every brand we support.
Who relies on this service:
- Media creators and photographers using portable UGREEN DAS systems
- Small businesses running UGREEN RAID boxes for backup
- IT professionals who need expert-level support beyond software tools
- Individuals with mission-critical files stuck in a damaged enclosure
If your UGREEN unit has failed or is no longer accessible — even after software recovery tools have failed — we can help.
What we see
Common UGREEN DAS failures.
Hardware Failures
Damaged USB-C/USB 3.0 ports, drives not mounting, bays no longer spinning, overheated or dead NVMe controllers, surge damage to SATA/NVMe bridges.
RAID & Logical Faults
RAID 0/1 failure with one drive offline or an array that will not sync, accidental format or partition deletion, file system corruption (exFAT, NTFS, HFS+).
Software & Access Issues
macOS "disk not readable" errors, encryption lockout, and volumes the operating system no longer recognises.
Physical & Environmental
Drives dropped or unplugged mid-write, overheating from passive cooling failure, water damage, and firmware errors from unsafe disconnection.
Coverage
UGREEN models we commonly recover.
Dual-bay & multi-bay RAID enclosures: USB 3.1 2-Bay RAID 0/1 enclosures, USB-C Dual Bay RAID 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD enclosures, Type-C aluminium RAID boxes, 3.5" Dual Bay RAID 0/1/Single mode units.
Portable NVMe SSD enclosures: USB-C M.2 NVMe SSD enclosures (tool-free, aluminium), 10Gbps USB 3.1 NVMe SSD cases, USB4/Thunderbolt 3 NVMe enclosures, USB-C M.2 SATA SSD enclosures (B-Key).
SATA enclosures & hubs: 2.5" SATA-to-USB 3.0 enclosures, USB-C to SATA HDD adapters, docking stations, and shockproof external HDD cases.
We also handle older and custom-configured UGREEN DAS setups used in DIY media storage workflows. If your model isn't listed, contact us — the enclosure type matters less than the failure inside it.
Process
End-to-end recovery, in-house.
- 01
Diagnosis & assessment
We identify controller status, RAID health and internal disk condition using professional-grade lab hardware, then confirm a fixed quote before any recovery work.
- 02
Forensic imaging
We create safe, read-only images of your storage — including unstable or partially dead drives — so your originals are never put at further risk.
- 03
RAID reconstruction or repair
Damaged RAID 0/1 arrays are rebuilt and logical corruption reversed where possible, all on the imaged copies.
- 04
Extraction & delivery
Recovered data is verified, then returned on a new external drive or via secure digital handover.
Legal & investigative work
Forensic support available.
When data loss touches a legal or investigative matter, we provide chain-of-custody recovery workflows, read-only imaging with verification, timestamp and file-access analysis, and expert witness documentation where required.
For matters requiring formal digital forensics, see our digital forensics and eDiscovery service. If the enclosure is part of a wider RAID environment, our RAID recovery page covers array-level failures in more depth.
Questions
Common UGREEN recovery questions.
My UGREEN RAID box shows one drive offline — is my data gone?
Usually not. A single offline member in a RAID 0/1 array is one of the most common cases we handle. The key is to stop using the enclosure and avoid forcing a resync, which can overwrite recoverable data — send it to the lab as-is.
The enclosure powers on but the drive won't mount. What does that mean?
This can point to a failed bridge chip, a corrupted file system, or a failing drive inside the enclosure. We diagnose in the lab and give you an honest recoverability assessment before quoting.
Can you recover data from a UGREEN NVMe enclosure with a dead controller?
Yes. We remove the NVMe drive from the enclosure and image it directly using lab-grade equipment — the enclosure's controller failure does not affect the data stored on the drive itself.
Do you need the exact UGREEN model to help?
No. Knowing the model helps us prepare, but every UGREEN DAS device is assessed individually in the lab regardless of which enclosure or RAID mode it uses.
What will it cost?
Diagnosis first, then a fixed quote confirmed with you before any recovery work begins — no open-ended bills.
Stop trying software fixes. Talk to an engineer, get an honest diagnosis, and a fixed quote before anything else happens to your drives.
