SanDisk & WD Data Recovery

SanDisk drive failed? We recover it in-house.

SSD Plus, Ultra 3D, Extreme Portable, or a WD Blue/Black sharing the same controller family — we diagnose the real fault and recover it under one roof, no third-party outsourcing.

I.

The problem

SanDisk drives fail quietly, then completely.

Because SanDisk and WD share storage technology, the failure patterns on their SSDs are very similar.

  • Controller / firmware failure — the drive stops identifying, or shows as 0 GB or a blank/generic model name
  • NAND wear — common on budget consumer ranges under sustained write loads
  • Power-loss corruption — mapping tables damaged mid-write, drive still detected but volume will not mount
  • Physical / connector damage — particularly on SanDisk Extreme Portable and other external SSDs

Important: stop using the drive immediately. Do not run repair utilities, re-format, or attempt a firmware update — on SSDs this can permanently overwrite recoverable data.

Coverage

Every SanDisk and WD drive we see.

i

SSD Plus & Ultra 3D

The standard SATA consumer range — controller faults, NAND failure and corrupted volumes.

ii

Extreme / Extreme Pro Portable

External SSDs, including cases where the enclosure or cable has failed but the drive inside is intact.

iii

WD Blue / Black SSDs

Handled by the same team — WD and SanDisk share underlying storage technology and fault patterns.

iv

USB flash & memory cards

SanDisk Cruzer, Extreme and Ultra USB drives, plus SD/microSD cards used in cameras and devices.

Process

Diagnosis first, fixed quote confirmed before we start.

  1. 01

    Diagnosis

We examine the drive to identify the actual failure — controller, firmware, NAND or logical — and report back with a clear verdict.

  2. 02

    Fixed quote

You approve a fixed price based on the real fault before any recovery work begins. No surprises later.

  3. 03

    Laboratory recovery

Firmware repair or chip-level work as required, always performed onto verified images — never on your original drive.

  4. 04

    Verified return

Files verified openable and returned on encrypted media, typically within days of approval.

Questions

The honest answers.

My SanDisk SSD shows as 0GB or an unknown drive. Can it be fixed?

This is usually a controller or firmware fault rather than dead memory chips, and it is one of the most recoverable failure classes we see. Diagnosis will tell you exactly where you stand before you commit to anything.

Can you recover a SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD?

Yes. Often the enclosure or USB bridge has failed while the drive inside is fine, in which case recovery can be straightforward. If the internal SSD itself has failed, we treat it as a standard SSD case.

I deleted files from my SanDisk drive. Is there any hope?

Sometimes, but SSDs run TRIM in the background, which actively erases deleted space. Power the drive off now — the sooner it stops running, the better your odds. We will give you a straight answer rather than false hope.

How much does SanDisk data recovery cost?

It depends on the failure class, which is why diagnosis comes first and the quote is fixed. Logical faults cost less than controller or firmware-level work. You always know the price before we start.
