A 2012 iMac's hard drive, fully recovered.
This iMac arrived in our Belfast laboratory with a failing internal hard drive. Every file was recovered, and while it was in the lab it went home with a faster drive and more RAM.
The case
An ageing Apple, a failing drive.
A 2012 Apple iMac came in to our Belfast laboratory for a full data recovery. Its internal hard drive was on the way out, and the customer needed everything on it back — photos, documents, the usual accumulation of a machine that had been in daily use for years.
Every scrap of customer data was recovered from the failing drive and transferred safely across to a new one.
Beyond recovery
It went home better than it arrived.
With the iMac already open on the bench, it made sense to do more than put the old drive back. It was fitted with a newer, much faster hard drive and additional RAM, then all of the recovered data was transferred onto it.
The result: the customer got their data back in full, and a machine that ran noticeably faster than the one that had come in.
